IMO STATE UNIVERSITY ON A MOVE FOR NEW VICE CHANCELLOR (VC)

The Imo State University council has declared the post of vice-chancellor vacant,In a released issued and signed by the Registra/secretary to council Emeka ejikonye call for application from qualified academics to apply for the posts.

The release stated that the position of the Vice-chancellor must possess some qualities and qualifications among which includes; must be a University professor and must have a minimum of 20 years of academic or cognate experience out of which not less than 10 years must be at the ran of a full professor.

Other qualities are must not be more than sixty-five years at the time of appointment and must be of strong and impeccable character with a high level of integrity.

The released further added that the successful candidate will hold the post of vice-chancellor for a single term of five years only.
It would be recall that IMSU has had serious crises emanating from who occupies the position of substantive vice-chancellor.
