Team Of Special Task Force Comes Hard On Town Service Operators In Owerri.

A team of special task force in owerri is knocking out town service operators who failed to paint their vehicle with the approved yellow and black strip as approved by the State government.

This development has led to massive trekking in the state, the wireless informant observed as majority of the passenger vehicles are yet to comply with the directive owing to high cost implication of getting a vehicle painted.

It was furthered that commuters traveling from world bank, Control, amakaohia, wethdral, Imsu junction had a war of century in getting a vehicle painted with the government colour to convey them to their ultimate destinations.

However, a taxi operator who spoke to us on a low key complained of the high cost of painting his cab with the approved colours. He alleged for a bus to be painted will cost N85,000. Taxis are to pay N65,000. He said the cost is on the high side wondering how he will raise the money when he is out of business and chased around by Task Force operatives.
