Imo 2019: Youths Stage Solidarity Rally For Uche Nwosu In Owerri (Photos)

The political tension in Imo State took a new twist Friday Sept. 14 with the youths of Imo staging a peaceful solidarity rally for Uche Nwosu ahead of his declaration of interest to run for an elective office. 

The city was placed on stand still for more than 4hours as the world adjusted to take a glance on the country's legend and technocrat, Uche Nwosu who is no stranger to the political ring.

The large group of youth supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from almost all the senatorial districts in Imo converged at the Dan anyiam stadium where the rally took off then marched down to the campaign office in Owerri where Uche Nwosu gladly received them. 

He thanked the leadership of the youth structures ably led by Mr. Jeff Nwaoha for reaffirming their support assuring that his government would not disappoint the youths. 

This unprecedented gesture is coming barely 24hours after the youth friendly guber hopeful successfully submitted his nomination form at the Nation's capital, Abuja and returned home.
